I found Google Earth the other day. It's a program that renders the earth and let you zoom in everywhere. Drawing both roads and buildings (at least in USA.). It even renders in 3d.

You should try it out, but be aware. You quickly loose a couple of hours just playing around with it.

Photoshop Album Flickrizer

I use Photoshop Album on my PC to store and categorize my photos. I use tags heavily to do this. And I've been missing a feature that would let me easily share some of my photos on flickr.com. Both Album and Flickr has the concept of tags, and it was a lot of work duplicating this meta information manually.

To solve this I wrote a litte Java program that parses the Album data files and let me choose which photos to export. Then it uploads them to flickr and register all the meta information automatically.
